The State Service for Mobilization and Conscription held a meeting with journalists working in the western region of the country in Barda city on July 21.
The meeting dedicated to the July 22 National Press Day began with a minute's silence commemorating the memory of the sons of the Motherland who died for the freedom of our territories. The journalists who participated in the event were congratulated on the occasion of the 147th anniversary of the establishment of the national press, and satisfaction was expressed with these traditionally held meetings with media representatives who honor their profession. It was noted that the great leader Heydar Aliyev, the founder of modern Azerbaijani statehood, laid the foundations of state care for our national press, and important steps were taken to strengthen the material and technical base of mass media. As a result of the successful continuation of this policy by the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Ilham Aliyev, our national press is gaining new achievements. It was stated that our national press, which has always been the harbinger of advanced ideas, a mirror of the times and social and political life in our country, made great contributions to the spread of Azerbaijani truths during the 44-day Patriotic War and today supports promotion of patriotic ideas in society, and the formation of a positive image of our state. Special attention was paid to the dedication and professionalism shown by media representatives on the front line during 44 days. It was noted that introducement of the achievements of our brave Armed Forces by the media, propagation of the Victory won in the Patriotic War under the leadership of the Victorious Supreme Commander-in-Chief Ilham Aliyev, as well as prompt and complete coverage of the activities of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription were highly been appreciated. Media representatives emphasized that they are always ready to participate closely in the work of delivering information to the society about the military field and the topics of patriotism education.
At the end of the event, employees of media organizations working in Karabakh and Eastern Zangezur regions, press representatives who closely cooperate with the Service were awarded with honorary decrees and commemorative plaques "For their services in the promotion of military patriotism" by the order of the head of the State Service for Mobilization and Conscription, Colonel-General Arzu Rahimov.
